Helping local businesses get more out of AI.
I'm Rich. I build AI systems for businesses around Bristol. Give me 30 minutes and I'll show you what's worth doing, put a real number on it, and build you the first one free.
Free, and you keep the notes whether we work together or not.

Rich, Day Eight. Bristol.
Building AI systems for businesses around Bristol.
Built on tools you know

How it works
Three steps, and the first two cost you nothing.
The call
30 minutes. I ask how work moves through your business. What gets typed out twice. What sits waiting for you. Which jobs only you can do.
The write-up
I write up every repeat job, what it costs you in hours and pounds a month, and what's worth doing something about. Plenty of things aren't, and I'll tell you which. That document is yours either way.
The first build, free
I pick one job off that list and build it. Usually about two hours of my time. It runs in your business and it's yours to keep.
After that, if it's been useful, we talk about what's next. If it hasn't, you've lost 30 minutes and gained a free build.
Sound familiar?
The jobs that never get done.
AI can already do more than you think.
Quotes and paperwork after hours
Writing up estimates by hand at 9pm. Describe the job out loud instead and get a tidy version back in seconds.
The follow-ups that never happen
The review request, the repeat booking, the unpaid invoice. The jobs that grow the business, always last on the list.
Insights you're paying an agency for
Your sales figures, your ad spend, your customer patterns. AI can pull those apart and tell you what's working, in plain English, whenever you ask.
Your AI team
The roles you'd hire for if you could.
Most of these are simpler to build than people expect. Usually it's a properly set up Claude project or custom GPT with your documents, your tone and your process inside it. The skill is knowing what to put in and what to leave out.
Executive assistant
Triages your inbox, drafts replies that sound like you, preps your day and chases the things that slip.
Head of finance
Reads your historic numbers and tells you what they mean. Where margin leaks, which months bite, what's quietly growing. Works alongside your accountant.
Head of marketing
Looks at what you've already posted, works out what landed, and builds a plan from real results. Drafts the content too.
Media buyer
Reads your ad spend the way a specialist would. Spots the campaigns burning money and the changes that move the numbers, then tells you exactly what to adjust. You keep control of the spend.
Legal advisor
Reads contracts before you sign them, flags the clauses worth a closer look and drafts the standard letters. A first pass, not a replacement for your solicitor.
Customer service
Answers the questions you get asked 40 times a month, handles enquiries out of hours, drafts replies to reviews.

About Day Eight
Built in Bristol. Working with businesses.
I'm Rich. I've spent the last few years inside a Bristol tech company, watching capable people use AI at about 10% of what it can do. Most businesses I meet aren't using it at all, usually because everyone selling it talks in jargon and wants a retainer before they've understood the business.
So I start with one free build. One workflow, about two hours, yours to keep. You get to watch it work before any money changes hands.
I'm local, so if you'd rather talk it through in person, we can grab a coffee somewhere in Bristol. If you want to ask me something, ask. I'd rather be useful than sell you anything.
What clients say
Rich helped me revamp my website, designed my brand logo and business cards, and we're working on outreach together now. All the things I'd normally be paying an agency to do.

How we work together
Every job starts with the same free call and the same free build.
You'll know what I'm building, why, and what it's worth before anything is agreed.
Phase 1
The audit and first build
Free
Your workflows written up and costed. A list of what's worth doing, in order. Then one of them built and handed over running.

Projects
Priced per project, agreed in writing before I start work
Most small builds run to a few hundred pounds. No day rates, no meter running.
The integration, assistant or pipeline your business needs, built, connected to your existing tools and handed over working. Training included, because I'd rather you understood it.
Phase 3
Ongoing support
Monthly, cancel whenever
I watch your systems, fix what slips and add what's newly possible each month. AI moves quickly and things break.
